Exactly one year ago, Station16shop.com went online. It's been a great year, and we can't wait to see what 2013 holds for us and what artists we'll be working with next! We've met a lot of great people along the way, and we couldn't do it without your support, for that we are extremely grateful, so thank you.

Although the shop is still closed (we roll back in on Monday January 7th, but the online store is open 24/7, so don't worry you'll get your orders!). I wanted to get a new years post out and highlight some of our artists who kept at it, even thru the holidays! We try to keep current with the art world (I have a stack of great magazines on my desk that I can't wait to get thru as we speak!), but one of our favourite stops is always the 'Street Art Blog; Vandalog'. Recently, they started the new year with a couple of friends of ours, namely Stikki Peaches, Labrona, Enmasse, Five, & Omen! Check out the links below to see more photos and read the articles, or just click the pictures!

Most of these murals come from this years Art Basel in Miami, which was apparently the biggest yet, and although we didn't attend (we'll defiantly be there this year), Montreal was well represented none the less! For those that are unfamiliar with the festival, Art Basel takes place three times a year. One in Switzerland, one in Hong Kong and one in Miami (since this is the only one in North America, it gets the most coverage here). The Miami festival happens at the beginning of December, and brings together hundreds of galleries and artist from around the globe. The best part is, every wall in the area where the festival is happening is painted! This means you get to see some of the best of the best doing there thing, live! Kenny Scharf, Shepard Fairey and Os Gemeos, to name a few. This year, three huge murals were done by MTL artists. One by Enmasse, another by Labrona, Omen, and Five, and the last by Enmasse co-creator Jason Botkin (we'll have more on his upcoming solo show later this month).
