Nuit Blanche at Station 16 Gallery: Guided Tours and Live-Painting with Jason Wasserman!

In collaboration with the MURAL Festival, les Amis du boulevard Saint-Laurent and the Société de développement du Boulevard Saint-Laurent, Station 16 Gallery will be the meeting place for guided tours of the historical and artistic elements of the Main and its surrounding area. Three guided tours will be presented during the evening: at 7:00, 9:30 and midnight. The tours will take between 1 hour and 1.5 hours.
In addition, Station 16 Gallery kicks off the celebration of Montreal’s 375th anniversary with the creation of a mural by Jason Wasserman this Saturday evening during Nuit Blanche! Wasserman will be live-painting in the gallery and launching Bon Weekend, a new line of products designed by the artist. Wasserman will also be presenting two new silkscreen prints to mark the occasion.

Jason Wasserman is a born and raised Montreal artist. He has been obsessed with comics and illustration from a young age and continues to work in a classic comic book style. He currently works as an illustrator specializing in screen-printed artwork after having completed a degree in fine arts from Concordia University. His paintings and prints have been exhibited internationally and he is a regular contributor to the EN MASSE project.

En collaboration avec le Festival MURAL, les Amis du boulevard Saint-Laurent et la Société de développement du Boulevard Saint-Laurent, la galerie Station 16 sera le lieu de rencontre des visites guidées historiques et artistiques de la Main et de ses environs. Trois visites guidées seront offertes pendant la soirée : à 19h, 21h30 et minuit. Le parcours devrait prendre entre 1h et 1h30.
En plus, la Galerie Station 16 inaugure la célébration du 375e anniversaire de Montréal avec la création d’une murale par Jason Wasserman ! Ce samedi soir durant Nuit Blanche, Wasserman créera une œuvre en direct et lancera sa nouvelle gamme de produits Bon Weekend. Il présentera aussi deux nouvelles sérigraphies pour marquer l'occasion.

Jason Wasserman est un artiste montréalais, obsédé par la BD et l'illustration depuis un jeune âge. Après avoir obtenu un diplôme en beaux-arts de l'Université Concordia, il travaille comme illustrateur et se spécialise en sérigraphie. Ses illustrations et ses tableaux ont été exposés à travers le monde et il travaille régulièrement avec le projet EN MASSE.
