Summer has been a busy time for husband and wife duo 123Klan. Between constant travels, exciting projects, and launching a new site, 123Klan has focused recent months on building their brand, Bandit1$M.

Kicking off the summer was a trip to Australia for the event and exhibition Streets Ahead at aMBUSH Gallery. Streets Ahead featured internationally renowned members the street culture scene, such as Tony Arcabascio (Tony Arcabascio Inc.), jeffstaple (Staple Design), Greg Rivera (co-owner of Mishka), L’Amour Supreme (artist for Mishka) and of course, Scien and Klor from 123KLAN. The event also included a conference discussing "how to achieve the perfect fusion between commercial, cool and credible, and how to create a strong identity and enjoy longevity in the competitive streetwear world" (aMBUSH Gallery). The exhibition featured prints and on-site installations from 123Klan, as well as collaborative mural with Greg Rivera and L'Amour Supreme. Additionally, 123Klan introduced Band1$m's summer collection to Australia, concluding a successful trip down under.

In June, 123Klan headed back to Montreal to participate in the third edition the Mural Festival. The duo created a pop-up show with Instock Showroom, a Montreal streetwear retailer, that features Bandit1$m and many other streetwear brands.123Klan live painted several wooden cut-outs during the pop-up shop, which can now be found on display at Instock showroom.

After Mural Festival, 123Klan participated in several editions of Agenda, a fashion trade show that specializes in street wear. First up was Long Beach. While in Califonia, 123Klan painted a mural with The Container Yard, a creative and collaborative organization located in the Arts District of Los Angeles.  Additionally, 123Klan was able to catch up with Dabs Myla, another husband-wife graffiti duo. The outcome was a collaborative mural painted on a truck. After Long Beach, 123Klan left for New York and then Las Vegas, to participate in additional Agenda Shows.

Upon returning to Montreal, 123Klan had several projects to finish out the summer. In August, 123Klan painted an epic mural for Justin Bieber's performance at Beachclub. Due to complications, Justin Bieber was not able to perform at Beachclub and canceled the day of the show. Luckily, 123Klan was still there to liven spirits and create a killer mural (details on Bieber's show can be found here).  123Klans' incredible mural, perfect for these fleeting days of summer, is now on display at Station 16 Gallery.

Last week, Concordia University in Montreal unveiled the newest design for its mascot, Buzz, which was designed by none other than 123Klan. Since 123Klan specializes in branding and mascot design, the project was perfect for the duo. The new design was a much needed upgrade for the mascot, and 123Klan's creation represents the spirit and energy needed in a university mascot.
