Station 16 Gallery is thrilled to present #ChaletLife, a solo exhibition by Montreal-based street artist Whatisadam highlighting a selection of classic WIA imagery and newly developed works on canvas in a cozy chalet setting. The vernissage will be held during Nuit Blanche on March 3rd from 6:00 pm to 1:00 am at Station 16 Gallery and the exhibition will run until March 24th, 2018.

Save the date, friends! Station 16 Gallery will be hosting its ANNUAL ARCHIVE SALE on Saturday January 20th from 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM!

Station 16 Gallery is thrilled to present MINUIT MOINS UNE, a solo exhibition by Montreal-based artist STEVEN SPAZUK highlighting a selection of his unique fire paintings created using a technique called fumage. The vernissage will be held on November 23rd from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at Station 16 Gallery and the exhibition will run until December 16^th 2017. The night of the vernissage will include many special fire performances, an experience not to be missed!

ASVP Makes Grand Montreal Debut at Papier16 Art Fair

You have probably heard us talking about Papier16 over the past several weeks and may have guessed, we are pretty excited about it. The fair began last night with a ceremonious VIP evening and officially opened to the public today. Station 16 Gallery is honored to be featured alongside the many galleries showing at this fair. In true Station 16 style, we are always pushing things a little bit further and have some AMAZING new pieces to show you! Among several new pieces on display in our booth (J03!) by artists Alan Ganev, Laurence Vallières, Stikki Peaches, Whatisadam, Peter Andrew, Cope2, Enzo Sarto (and many more), we are introducing for the first time in Montreal the artist duo ASVP.

Last night, February 11, Station 16 opened its doors past regular close to welcome the new exhibit, "J'aime MTL", which will be on display until March 1st 2016. 

In almost every city you go, you will be surrounded by street art. Often, it is eye-catching. Often, it is thought-provoking. But when you come across something that is both beautiful and critical, it is hard not to stop and stare at the piece on the street to analyze the message that the artist is trying to convey.

Pantone threw a curveball this year, announcing that 2016 will not have one, but two colors of the year. A first in Pantone history, the company revealed that 2016 will be all about Rose Quartz and Serenity (think baby blue and baby pink). While each color leads to immediate associations with a specific gender, the combination of colors aims to challenge conventional gender stereotypes and establish a more fluid approach to color usage and gender identity.

Old Navy closed out 2015 by making headlines - but in this case, there is such a thing as bad publicity.

The controversy surrounded a toddler girls' t-shirt that read Young Aspiring Artist, where the word Artist is crossed out and replaced with another profession, such as Astronaut or President.
